This short story is absolutely wild and I just had to share it with you! It is called "Ordeal by Cheque" by Wuther Crue.
Yes, you MUST build some background knowledge because kids these days likely have no clue what a check is. And some might need some help figuring out how to read cursive but, wow, is it worth it!
